Probability and Odds

It's important to distinguish between probability and odds.

• Probability = $\frac{\text{Desired Outcomes}}{\text{Total Outcomes}}$
• Odds = $\frac{\text{Desired Outcomes}}{\text{Undesirable Outcomes}}$

For example, the probability of rolling snake-eyes (two 1s) with two dice is $\frac{1}{36}$. The odds of rolling snake-eyes are $\frac{1}{35}$.
